Hi all, have a situation as always with repairs. How much to spend before it’s not worth it. I have a 2008 S4 4.2 since new. In great shape with 100k kms. It’s been good but repairs are creeping up with a few thousand here and there each time. Fluid leaks mostly. The dreaded timing chain related issues and auto tranny are hopefully not the next big expense.
Do regular oil changes before the recommended intervals and just did the tranny flush. I read that this year may be the next vintage collectable?
I know a car is only worth its value to the owner. Would make more sense to spend more money if it may appreciate. Of course if I have to repair to sell that is another situation. Comments? Thx all
