my modlist is pretty simple...not sure if you're asking about recently, but here it is in totality

Feb 2010
JHM tune
JHM LW crank pulley
JHM intake spacers
Fast Intentions 2.5" x-pipe crossover
JHM/VAST piggies (OEM downpipes with pre-cats removed, main cats in tact)

Oct 2010
JHM LW front rotors

December 2010
JHM/VAST 2.5" downpipes to replace the piggies (which are now in my basement)
Updated JHM tune

Just basic stuff, but all contributing to performance. I think the total bill when you net out selling off the stock parts (i.e. oem dps) is about $3500. All can be DIY'd pretty easily.

Next up will be LW wheels. One of my summers has a bad bend, so I'll need a new set. The JHM LW rotors dropped 20lbs of rotating mass off the car...and the effect was pretty amazing. Stock wheels at 28lbs + 22lb tires mean I'm at 50lbs per corner. Getting some 18-20lb wheels with 22lb tires would mean a drop of 30-35 lbs of rotating mass and that would be VERY fun.

You B8 guys...the biggest weakness your car has from the factory is weight. It comes with heavy wheels (30lbs+ for the 19s) and tires (Dunlops are mid 20s). That's about 55-58lbs per corner. If you guys can find some 22-24 lb 19" wheels to keep the car looking good...and pair them up with Michelin PilotSport2 tires at about 23lbs in 19" 255s...it'll be a drop of 40-50lbs of rotating mass...which will feel like getting another tune bump!

Voltron'sHead was having trouble breaking into the 12s with his car on a 58lbs per corner setup (APR tuned + exhaust + intake). When he changed to a set of 20lb BBS wheels + 22lb Michelins, he ran 12.7. That's no joke.

Very nice. I have seen you on this and other forums, and didn't realize you had done as much as you have.

Hopefully, I'll get to check out your car at a meet this year. I have feeling your car sounds quite nice. I will be looking for some light wheels for my car come spring - partly for performance, and partly for look.

Cheeba: Do you have any suggestion for black car paint protection, other than frequent wash and wax?

I'm sure we'll see each other soon enough. Maybe at a meet. The B7 certainly sounds good these days. Maybe a little too good...not sure my neighbours are as happy with the volume levels as they used to be :D

check this out for wheels. Probably the best deal I've seen in a while...those tires are like new, and the wheels are too. Guy just decided one day (after 6 months) he wanted a Porsche GT3 :D

In any event, you could buy these wheels, drive on them for 2 years and wear out the tires (which are worth $1200) and then sell the wheels for probably $2500+. If you negotiate, you could probably get the wheels/tires set from this guy for close to that. I'd consider them if they were 57mm and 18x8.5 and ET30...but as it stands, they're terrible for my car (and perfect for a B8 S4)

The wheels should weigh about 23-24lbs each. Fantastic quality too. Some of the best out there.
