First RS4
Hello all,
I'm looking into buying an RS4 B7, I found one within my price range, but here is the thing, I pretty much have zero experience driving a sport car. Now I know some people might laugh at me or what not but I prefer to come here and ask for your advices rather than make a huge mistake and buy a car that would be way over my driving skills. My current DD is a V6 Tacoma, if it's worth taking into consideration.
Would the RS4 be a real bad idea as a first sport car? From what I could read on the internet, it's quite easy to drive since it has the Quattro, DRC and ESP. Would you guys have any advice to give me?
Also, regarding the car, it has 200 000km, any pre purchase advice?

The B7 RS4 is a charm. It's very powerful, yet civilized. The perfect sleeper. It's mostly simple to drive but if you put it in "S" sport mode, it can be exhausting to drive because the gas pedal is very sensitive and it's hard to stay at legal speeds on the highways.
Overall, you don't need special skills to drive this car, of course as long as you know to drive manual transmission ... Be sure to release the clutch completely before slamming on the gas, the 420HP will kill your clutch if you don't !
Important note: just make sure you have money to take care of it, everything is much more expensive on this car when it breaks. The rule of thumb is "if you could afford it *new*, then you can buy it used". For instance, a couple weeks ago one of the oil cooler hoses fittings was leaking ... it ended up costing 3275$ to change the hoses and cooler. If you are on a budget, I'd suggest a B7 S4

an RS4 is about as economical to keep on the road as maintaining a space shuttle......
especially one with 200k on it
a legit question, do you do your own maintenance or have to pay someone?
if the answer is pay someone, you might want to reconsider.....
