I've been advised by Kromer Radio (private audio video shop) that only Audi can replace blown speakers or at a minimum have to run the diagnostic and order the parts. I believe I've blown two front door speakers.

yes it is

 

Pretty simple to do but you gotta take of the entire door panel. The parts only come from the dealer unless it is aftermarket obviously. I would find someone with a vag-com and see if they can come up with any codes when they scan it.

Welcome! Dealer would probably want $110 - $150 to diagnose and someone with a vag-com can do it in less then 10 minutes for free! I have the instructions on how to take the paneling off let me know if you need it!

 

The instructions would be excellent!
I will see if I can locate someone with a vag-com, failing which I will get the dealer to take a look, order the parts, and have them installed elsewhere or if its straighforward enough do it on my own. Thanks agian!
