ok, i need to know the bosch number because i have to check if i have a tuning and/or an original for it. software version would be nice too.
hook up a vag-com and get me the numbers. bosch number is just below the one you posted on the sticker.
if i have that info and the board of the ecu is not fried, i'm pretty sure i'll be able to get it back to life. tuned or stock.
btw, i had a few GIAC chipped ecu's were i had to resolder the sockets. that's probably your problem.

okay this morning i connected my obd II scanner up with stock ecu in and it connected "no trouble codes" then i removed the stock ecu and placed chipped ecu in and hooked up the scanner. and the obd II scanner wont read it it said system not compatible! its pretty much telling me there is nothing there to read. what does this mean
