Hello out there.... I have a b5 s4 that is pretty much stock except for a miltek cat back exhaust and some 18" bbs on the car. I was wondering if anyone can tell me why my cars check engine light flashes when I punch the car on the highway. It seems to feel very sluggish and then clears up and takes off. Any ideas??? The check light goes off and the car seems fine after.

 

Could be an engine misfire...what kind of gas are you using? I had a similar problem on mine when I used Shell 91 and got the code read by a friend of mine.

 

it sounds like it has to do with air/fuel...

check to make sure your gas is ok, maybe change the fuel filter if it hasn't been changed yet...

if problem still persists, throw it on a code reader to see if it shows anything...

 

Thanks for the tips... Now do you know of any garages in the Newmarket area or just aroung the GTA? I recently moved up here to the boons in Newmarket but I lived in Toronto so if you know a shop downtown I am sure I can find it, I mean without it being a dealership garage.
