Looking for opinions: how necessary is ADS? Looking at new S4. Definitely ordering Sport differential. Some sales people insist ADS only worth it if you're taking car to track. Others suggest it's worth it for all driving. Any personal experiences out there? Regrets one way or another? Thanks in advance.

I think it’s cool and I can defiantly notice a difference when I drove it. If you are a spirited driver you should get it. If you drive moderate and not enthusiastic there is no point as you will not feel a difference.

I completely disagree with your SA. If you plan on going to the track do not get it. I highly recommend the Sports Differential, and spending the $2500 difference on a nice set of coil overs. (I went with Eurocode sways, End links, Alu kruez (soon), and Springs instead). If you get the suspension dampening you loose all the adjust-ability if you change to coil overs.

Having the ability to switch to comfort while driving on bumpy roads would be nice, but it really depends on where you live.
