Default advice on a Toronto S4

Hi there

I'm seriously considering purchasing this car. It's been listed for a couple of months but no takers. I've looked at it and it looks pretty solid. Other then the colour I'm not sure why this car is not selling. No accidnets, and very clean, and the dealer claims that there is an extended warranted from Audi that is transferable, (not sure if this is true).

I know that Gas mileage will suck and that some s4's will burn a lot of oil.

I plan on taking it to Audi to get it checked out, but the Question is, how do I check for oil burning.

here's the ad. Let me know what you guys think.

If you're going to take it to an Audi Dealer I'd give them a call and mention your concern about burning oil and see what they say.

In my opinion there are two reasons why this car has not yet been sold.
1. It's Green
2. It's Automatic.

But if you're cool with the Green and Auto, I say go for it. The S4 is a sweet ride.

Avants suck ! Kidding aside, green is VERY rare and I'd take that colour in a second but would not personally consider an automatic as the stick is way more fun. Then again if I drive in T.O. traffic everyday, I'd likely reconsider that. You may want to do some digging on the mtce costs for older S4's as they're typical of most german rides ... That said, the seats, exhaust sound and connection with the road help make the car one of the most enjoyable rides I've driven (not to mention the versatility of the avant !).

thats a normal price for that car go on kijiji you look into getting 2000 or 2001 s4 v6 twin turbo there cheaper faster and more fuel effeicent plus you can customize it to your hearts desire as it is turbo'd .just a good sujestion

I'm looking for a Avant, so it will have to be a B6 or later and the wife can't drive manual, so this one is perfect.

I think I'll have to pass for now anyways. Just got a insurance quote, that pretty much dumped a bucket of cold water on the idea. I'll be paying $500 more per year compared to my A6. Freaking outragious....

I blame you current owners with all the speeding tickets.

I've never seen one.

Anyways, I've made a deal on the Green machine (yes I have a name for it already). Putting a deposit on it today.

I have a set of 16" rims with snows, will it fit the S4? I have a feeling it may not.

I don't think the 16" rims will clear the S4's front brakes. But don't quote me on that.

Went for a test drive and made the deposit.
Car will be at Audi for the inspection next week. It still has a bumper to bumper warranty so I almost hope they find something.

If all goes well I'll have it on Tuesday.

I love the colour, and I like the name even better.

"GoodWood Green Pearl"

I can't wait, I was so excited last night I couldn't sleep.
