Question 2008 RS4 modifying remote

I just took delivery of this vehicle and was hoping to modify the remote so I can open and close windows. I am at the dealership right now and they say it can't be done. Is this true?

So, I guess they are just saying this to cover themselves? Or, maybe they really don't know how to do it? How does one go about getting this done? Thanks for the reply.

Vagcom cable and vacom wire. It's a 2 minute mod. If you're ever in the TO area, PM me, I can do it for you. Although I have never done any work on MY below 2009 so no promises.

Thank you very much for the offer. I live in Kitchener so, it is a bit of a hike. Anyone closer? There is a case of beer in it for you.....

I did a quick search and found this link. Interesting. Wonder if it works for B7 RS4 and S4 models. I don't see why it wouldn't.

Thank you all for your help, I was in Georgetown today and had Bartosh at H20 sports do it for me. He has me interested in an APR flash as well. Not huge returns (30 hp ) but he claims I'll get 80 K more per tankful.. The way I go through gas right now, this is a good reason to do it. Who am I kidding???

if you ever need more vagcom help swing by my house in oakville. We can introduce our RS4s to each other as well.

As for the APR tune, I'd just straight up skip it. Get a JHM tune. It's hands down the best tune for the RS4. The APR tune might help your mileage a bit but that's just because it leans out the AFR a bit. Stock file runs very rich. All tunes will do this. Hopefully not too lean though. There's an optimal AFR for making power all motor and JHM nails it on these 4.2 cars.

I'm going to eventually get their flash for my 2008 RS4 as well, and will work with their tuner to give them some feedback/datalogging.

Here...enjoy!

Here's a great comparison...my stock RS4 ran 13.1 @ 106 on Saturday at Cayuga, while a JHM tune + full exhaust RS4 ran 12.2 @ 112

Their tune + exhaust on my B7 S4 made me faster than a stock RS4

Thanks for the info, I'd like to hear about your JHM flash for your RS4. Also, thakns for your offer of getting together to introduce our RS4s. Who knows, if they like each other maybe we'll get an RS3 out of the intro. Cheers.
