2006 S4: should I buy?
Hello members
I'm posting here and in other forums as I want your opinion on this car.
It's been owned by my (meticulous) cousin since 2008 and was owned by an older doctor before that. All required maintenance was kept up to date. There are two sets of Audi rims, summers are new from last year and winters have one more season left. I'll update this post with stuff he's had done in the last 2 years when he gets back to me but I know the entire exhaust system was replaced with a Magnaflow. It has 120k on it and it's an East coast car. He owns another vehicle which explains the low millage. He did mention some slight paint bubbling around the gas cap area and somewhere else I don't remember. The driver seat's Alcantra is damaged. All brakes and discs were done last summer.
He says this model car is less prone to repairs due to the fact that it's an 8 cylinder and not all electronically complicated like the newer S4's. Should I buy this car? What would you pay for it?
The two things I would want to do if I buy it would be to change the headlights to LED/projector and change the radio to a double DIN.
Cheers!
PS: I should add that I've been driving cars for 30+ years, love driving and I've only owned A-B cars (2006 Hyundai Tucson 4 cyl presently)... never anything exciting that made look forward to driving.

Headlights are the least of your worries with this car...find out if the timing chain tensors have been serviced. That engine is a ticking time bomb.
Go check out audizine there are hundreds of threads discussing the flaws in the B6/B7 S4 engine...I am so glad that i sold my 2007!
