Default B5 S4 trimming

I'm looking for the Light Bird's Eye Maple Wood trimming for my S4. I don't need all of it, just a few pieces... ash tray + mechanism would be welcome as well.

Hopefully someone out there is parting out their B5 S4 and have some trimming up for grabs.

Grateful for any responses.

Have you ever thought of Carbon Fibre. If so check out O Carbon. If I get a minute I will post up their web site.

Hey Mikeh,

Thanks again for your insight!

I'm leaning more towards the wood dash cuz I like the luxurious component to the look of the car... but my main issues were that:

a) a new trim piece is 400$ and wouldn't match mine due to all my trim fading after all these yrs
b) i found kits but they all installed/overlapped onto the existing trim.
c) my interior is the dark blue/grey colour, not black so I wasn't sure that carbonfiber would look all that great

What do you think? Have you use O Carbon's products? I checked out their site and it seems pretty decent... especially that the trim pieces actually replace mine and dont install over them.

I personally have not used O Carbon however I have heard some amazing reviews from people who have. I have OEM carbon trim which is a tighter weave than that in the RS4. If I was in the market for Carbon Fibre then O Carbon would be getting a call from me. I can give you the contact info if you don't already have it. On the other hand if its wood your after don't listen to me and follow your instincts.

Did you do that on your own cars?? Do you have pics of your work?? I'm intrigued.

I checked out the O Carbon that Mikeh recommended and the dudes won't even pick up their phones. On top of that, they want to keep all of my trim (if you know your wood, you know that my trim is worth WAY more than their carbon fitting). My used trim is worth more than his new carbon, so I wouldn't even want a straight up exchange.

I also have a supplier in montreal that sell trim kits for about 400$, except they install on top of my trim so I'm not really up for having plastic riding on top of my actual trim.

Wait a second r u saying that the trim i covered up is work a lot....where's my goo gone!
I like this stuff, it looks great, stands up to cleaners well. It's not really showing much use damage. Although I'd like to redo some panels because of the way i put the weave :-s

Yeh i did mine and my friends bmw

Yeah bro, the trim Audi uses is Light Bird's Eye Maple, one of the rarest and best woods in the world. We just got some trees selectively cut from our property at the cottage and the company looked over all of our 180 acres to find Ligh Bird's Eye maple and would have payed us a huge premium for it, should there have been any.

I'd love to put carbon fiber in my car, but I'd never give up the trim I've got in it just to get it.

Pics look good, btw ! How long did it take you for the whole process? I mean from dismantling, to lining your trim, to installing it back into the car.

Pics look good!

Thanks, I love the look. It took HOURS! I had a dinner date I had to cancell because i had my dash off almost and all the center console and such! I think all and all it took a good 5 hours that's removal, wrapping and installation again. I still have some nutz and bolts i need to put back in lol
