Looking to replace my manifold. Mine has slight crack in it which could be affecting my boost. So I have been told

 

I'm likely in the same boat as you are.... I've looked everywhere, and unless you go the eBay route, looks like the stealership will be taking both our paychecks...lol!

What were your symptoms? I seem to be losing boost at random, especially when the car is at running temp and when I try to go full throttle or try to pass on the freeway.

I decided to clean the intake valves since they're replacing the intake manifold.

 

Dam those stealerships! Ya its hard finding a manifold outside of the dealer.. The car has some boost at low rpm.. But wen passing, like yours, its losing boost. My mechanic, which I trust, says my exhaust manifold is cracked and most likely losing boost there. Car sounds fine and runs fine as well.. Im missing boost as I bought my A3 chipped, I miss it lol

 

When I can part with the car for a couple days my mechanic will pull it out and weld it. Hopefully the weld takes as its cast iron
