She looks great. Truly a collector car. You will have to keep us all posted on the developments. Start a Build Thread and periodically update it as you go along.
Thanks

Re: My 86 Coupe GT
I'm just going to continue this as my build thread.
I finally started some work on her the other day. It's going to be a slow process as I'm busy with school and I don't have a bunch of money to blow.
So, the first thing I did the other day was finally get it up on some stands. YAY! I then continued with the most pressing problem (that I currently know of).
I removed the fuel hose from the tank to the filter as it was in bad shape and was leaking gas. At this time, I also removed the pre-filter as I don't know when the last time that was changed. Here are some pics.
Hopefully, I can get these parts replaced soon, put some fuel in her, and then I can move onto actually getting her running (keeping my fingers crossed!)

Re: My 86 Coupe GT
Well gang,
This weekend was a bit productive. Again, progress is slow but its happening.
Since the last post on this thread, I ordered a few parts for my fuel line.
I picked up a new Pre-filter as my old one was gunked up, a new Main Fuel Filter, new fuel hose, and lastly some Steel 5/16ths Hardline. My previous hardline cracked and obviously leaked so it was time for a new one.
So, this weekend began with installing most of the new fuel parts.
I started off with the Pre-filter:
Next was the hose that went to the fuel pump:
Once these were all clamped down with hose clamps, it was time to put in the new filter:
and while I was at it, I replaced these washers for the banjo connection as well:
Now in most of those pics, you probably see a shiny piece of tubing in the background, well that's going to be my fuel line. My initial plan was to go for a Stainless Steel Braid fuel line but due to not having enough funds at the moment, I had to pick up some hardline. Now this is my current PITA. I'm going to try and bend it myself using a tube bender. Also, I'm going to have to try and track down some metric fittings for 5/16th fuel tubing. Here are the pics of the old ones:
So, that's where I stand so far. All I need to do is get that pipe bent (arggghh!!!), find metric fittings, flare the ends, and then install it. Once that's done, I can fill her up with some fuel and then I'm hoping I'm good to go! I would put up pics of the stuff installed but unfortunately I do not own a 2-Post lift and don't have enough room to get a good pic.
Cheers,
Tarpan
