Since both posts originated from the same IP address, your "aquantance"
had to be on your computer to do what you claim they did. The good news
is that you can _easily_ "retract" the post by _cancelling_ the message
using your news posting software. Of course, if it took you eight hours
to realise the "mistake" (perhaps after a note from your ISP...) then
you probably have no intention to cancel. You still should, though, if
only to show that you're in control of your computer.
If you are truthful in your claims, it will be a lesson for you not to
let every "aquantance" use your computer, unless your "aquantance" is in
fact just your other personality. In that case you need professional
help.
