The slide pins will sieze, wearing out the inside pad. The lacky will
replace the caliper, being too lazy to free the pins. Very common.
The pins should be lubed with every major service, 15Kmiles or so, to
prevent this. Caliper failure is uncommon, but possible. Moreso in a
car that contains the original brake fluid.
