Change it just before it breaks
You'd probably be very unlucky if you stuck to 60k and had one break on you.
But the belt itself is only half of the story. If the belt drives the water
pump (as it does on most if not all Audis) then the pump will break the belt
(or strip its teeth) if the pump seizes. BTDT...

especially on the 1.8T engines, every 60K miles or 4-5 years would be a
safer bet.
