I will assume that you have checked to be sure you do not have them disables
with the lock out button on the drivers door.
Then:
The very likely cause is broken wires in the rubber accordion that flexes in the
drivers door hinge area. This happens to virtually all T44s.
You could check the switches in the doors but I would consider that a waste of
your time.
Get out your solder gun, strippers and heat shrink and be prepared to spend a
couple of hours fixing a bunch of bad wires. You may also find that you have
fixed your sunroof and other intermittent electrical issues that have been
bothering you.
