Currently thinking of buying one of these in Avant shape, 51 plate,

Apart from the usual cosmetics, test drive and scrupulous inspection of
the service history, anyone got any suggestions on things to look out
for?

Scouting about and it seems water pump and timing belt changes are the
obvious things.

Can anyone point me towards an A6 FAQ or info site that's a must read?
