$1K is pretty cheap labor to replace Turbo's on a B5 S4.
Odds are additional components should be replaced while drivetrain is out in order to do a proper job.
Still waiting to hear 100% confirmation that a Turbo has actually failed. I've heard many people call "Turbo Failure" because that is what most folks fear about a Twin Turbo Audi and too often it is misdiagnosed.

While the engine is out its a perfect time to do Water pump, Aux waterpump and all the TB. Which is included in labor. You just have to supply the parts.
its worth the drive to Ontario (ottawa at that) and to get a hotel for a few nights to get it done.
I bet you its not a turbo failure, but probably a boost leak or exhaust leak that sounds like the turbo lady. 62k is really LOW for blown turbo's
I wish it would be a boost leak. The more this car stays in the garage the more i get tempted to do the ko4s... mmmm ko4s

You WILL get more out of the car if you deal with any major maintenance prior to sale. I said it before, I'll say it again....nobody will pay good runner dollar for a project dollar ride. Find the problem and deal with it, I garauntee the car will sell faster and get far more money than it will as it sits right now.
