I've bought a 2001 A6 and now need to sell my 1986 5000CD Turbo Quattro Avant. I'm the third owner and am reluctant to part with her but what can I do. She has 225,000 kms but still drives strong and burns no oil. There are a few shortcomings for her age though which include no power to the mirrors, no seat heat, windshield wiper scratches, but everything else works. Also, the radio is locked out but this has never been of a concern to me, as I prefer the drive. The original 16" Avant Q alloy wheels (with so-so tires) are in addition to a clean set of CD 5 star alloys shod with 80% remaining H-rated tires. There is also a ton of used spare parts, including a radiator, oil cooler, turbocharger, intake manifold, brakes and a host of electrical switches, relays and components. Exterior is Atlas Grey Metallic with Grey cloth interior.
Break my heart with best offer over $2500 for everything.
Actually, after typing this and feeling remorseful, I think I'll list the A6 as well and and let fate play it out!

I'd forgotten all about this ad.
As it turns out it was the A6 that sold, and although it was by far the better car in all areas, I've been revelling (sp) happily in my Avant. Maybe it's time to try to move up again!
Since I'm a computer ludite I'm not sure how to post any pics here, but I'll give it a go later. If you care to, send me your email address and I'll try it that way, since I've done that before.
