PRNDS flashing
Sorry to be a pain but I really could do with some advice, whilst I’m sure that this has been mentioned in the past I need to describe my issue just so I know how much I should cry.
i have an Audi A4 convertible 2005 and recently I had a friend do a cam belt and full service on the car, when it was returned there was an issue where if you drove further than around 10 miles and turned the car off then it wouldn’t restart, the light by the gear stick wasn’t lit but if I waited around 15 minutes then it would start again ?
‘’My friend said yo me that this was most likely F125 gearbox sender and that the fault could not of been caused by the work carried out and I have no reason to doubt this but then again I am clueless with cars. This although annoying meant that it would still get me to work as it would be fine by the time that I needed to leave.
today on the way home the PRNDS light has started flashing and once I tried to reverse into my drive it was a little reluctant to go into gear , once I had reversed I put it back into drive and again it was not a smooth change.
i was also wondering if the gearbox oil was low could this cause the same symptoms? Thanks for any help provided I just don’t know what to do.
