hey sonic i also my be interested in getting a magnaflow catback for my audi a4 b7. when i get this exhaust what improvements will it do for my car and how much better is it compared to the oem one. i know that i will get an increase in sound but not to much about the rest. And if i get this i don't have to add anything else to my car its just upgrading the exhaust and thats it right?

If you can also let me know is there any magnaflow catback exhausts for the a3 as well? i checked the site but only saw for a4. thanks

Unfortunatly i do not know of any for the A3. As for you A4, sound is a big factor but it will also add maybe 5-7HP and maybe 10 ft/lbs torque. not alot but its more so that if you were to do anything else to you car in the future, the exhaust is a must. Think of you car engine as a vaccume. If you can force in say 100lbs of air but can only put out 50lbs of air then you can only physicaly tank in 50Lbs as it is the most restriction. Your exhaust free's up your engine on the back end. All you need is the exhaust. you dont need to buy anything else for it...maybe an exhaust bolt if you break it taking it off but thats a buck. Furthermore you can add a test pipe down the road which will eliminate your cat. Your cat is the most restrictive part of the exhaust. for the mailing address you can put in your address. as soon as you put in the codes it will know that its being picked up. Apprently 3 guys have alreay ordered. Not sure who though but it could of been from audizine or audiworld.

 

hey sonic im not very familiar with all this as in the test pipe and the cat. if you dont mind can you give me an explanation of the difference lol. Does magnaflow exhaust have any effect on the gas mileage on the car? thanks again the price for my audi a4 b7 would be 750 taxes included?

 

Hey rick,

sorry, the cat is the catalitic converter for emissions. it connects directly to your turbo and then goes down to the exhaust system. There shouldnt be much of a diffrence in gas millage if any change.

the system for the B7 A4 with taxes and everything is $807.50

I appologize, there was a bit of miscomunication from hottexhaust and us. but all the prices on page one are written in stone.

Yup. i ordered mine today. longest is looking like 10 days but he said it could show up tuesday....once they come in i say we figure out a time and install them! i cant wait!
