A4 1.8T quattro shuttering noise under hand brake
My 2001 A4 quattro 1.8t, when in deep snow during a wheel spin will sometimes make a shutter. The only thing I can compare it to, is shaking a jigsaw puzzle box and hearing the noise of the puzzle pieces shake inside. It runs fine otherwise in the summer and winter. It's quiet on snow. It's only when you hit deeper snow on an unplowed or badly plowed street.
Any ideas of similar stories about what it could be? It obviously is related to the torsen differntial, but what is it?

I made a video of the sound. It really starts at 0:09.
I'm driving 10km/h through 12"/30cm of fresh unplowed powder (Ottawa's first snow fall of the year)
