I'm moving to the US for work and in order to import my 2009 Audi A3 sportback 6-speed manual, my speedometer needs to comply by showing MPH. For some reason it's not the generic North American one which displays both KPH and MPH. I've found plenty of speedometer clusters available online that would fit the bill and videos online about how to do it, but I wanted to make sure I'm not somehow going to ruin the car's computer system or antitheft by doing that. Also, I'm reading mixed reports about whether the odometer is stored in the cluster or in the car's internal computer. I would love to just plug and drive and have no worries about zipping across the border!
