Default Hazard Switch

Hey Folks,
I have one here for you. I just changed out my Hazard switch for a new one and I'm still getting the same issue. It keeps making the clicking sound long after the signal has stopped. When this is happening the turn signals are not operating so it isn't a huge problem but the sound is driving me crazy. Anyone out their know what else I can check?

Wouldn't something like that show up on a VAG-Com scan? I'd give that a try.

Haha, I had this problem develop on a road-trip from Toronto to Regina - I nearly went insane! My issue was due to dirty contacts in steering wheel control stalk; I removed it, cleaned it thoroughly with electrical contact cleaner, and it never did it again. The part is fairly expensive, and the job is likely to be pricey at the dealer, so it's worth a shot to clean it yourself. If you do it yourself, you'll need a special bit to remove the steering wheel, I think a large TripleSquare bit, and take care to reinstall the steering wheel in the same orientation.
