Thanks Ray, turbo is being placed where the airbox was, Work Wheels are refinished in satin and gloss black, just waiting for hoops to come back from PC.

Fuel pump finally cleared customs, modified the fuel tank hatch, it now has a -10an 90 bulkhead and -6an bulkhead in place of the stock fittings, I removed the Walbro pump, Magnafuel pump was placed where OE filter was. The -10 acts as a pickup for the inline pump.

I will grab some pics of it tomorrow

Update time

I have the motor back together, it was apart for valvetrain upgrades

I deleted the secondary water pump, used 3/4 silicone hose in it's place, at the T which normally fed each turbo, I used 3/8 silicone hose to mate up with modified return lines

The valve covers are PC'ed jet black metallic

And since I have some extra time before the car goes to the fabricators, I decided to try my hand at lead loading, so I filled in all the spot welds and the small trough in the battery tray. It needs a little more attention, but for the most part it is ready for paint.

And finally, I got all the pieces for the wheels back, polished all 160 bolts and reassembled them. I am very happy with the way they turned out, here is a pic of one of the fronts, the backs look better in my opinion with the extra 1" lip

Wow! That is some serious machinery! That'll be as rare as an RS6. Quick question on the big brake kit, since I am searching for them. This may stray off topic a bit but why the Wilwoods? As far as I know Wilwood is more common on American musclecars such as Charger, Trans Ams, Camaros etc. What I've seen for our vehicles are kits from Brembo and Stoptech, maybe a few others that utilize Porsche calipers and slap their own logos on them. Are yours custom or direct bolt on?

Direct bolt on kit from Avalon MS in Denver, their testing showed the Wilwood kit fell short of only the Alcon kit for brake torque, and the extra thermal mass gained by using their 332x35 two piece rotors are an increase of 18% over stock.

The biggest seller is price point, I am a firm believer that most of us get gouged because of the rings on our cars, the Wilwood kit is only 1400

Also got in on the GB for the gruvenparts CA's

ps. If all goes well, I think a trip to the Great Canadian is in order

I was looking at Brembo kits but the pricing was just too steep. The pricing is half the cost of building a 3.0 30V motor! The Stoptechs also look good, but they're not that much less expensive than the Brembos. Overall I wouldn't go cheap and I'd spend money on whichever package suits me most as I am an aggressive driver but it's difficult to gauge which company manufactures better brakes. I know many companies use Porsche 997 or Boxster S calipers and slap their logos on them but I was looking for an A6 specific upgrade. Unfortunately I haven't found anything for the rears, unless I were to go with the factory RS6 rears which weigh as much as a sack of bricks.

Loving the build. When I take a trip out east I'll be sure to let you know. I'd like to see your ride in person. That build simply rocks. I post a lot of DIY guides here on the A6 forum and people just look and see but no one really comments. I like to see others who are more involved in their cars post pics of their maintenance and upgrades. Keep up the great work!

You may have misunderstood me, I am not buying the wilwood kit based solely on price, if I thought there was better value in another kit, I would choose it.

I have driven an S4 with an Alcon kit, an allroad with Brembo/Porsche 350mm kit, in my opinion the Wilwoods should have pedal pedal modulation over the 350 kit, more similar to the Alcon's

The Wilwood kit appeals to me to on fronts, performance and price, best of both worlds

For the rears, I have considered working with a local machinist to prepare some brackets in order to run a set of Wilwood hydra/mech units
