Check Engine Light

Check Engine Light
Hi all. I am new here and have a question. I have googled till I'm seeing double, about the check engine light. My 2003 Audi A6 Quattro recently had the check engine light come on.. then it went off about a week later. It never ran differently but I did notice it came on right past the 65000mile. Is this a coincidence? I have been busy working 75hr weeks and will have the 65000 check up in 2 weeks (about 400m past due).
Did the mileage have anything to do with it or was that just my guilt at not being able to do it sooner?
Either way the light went out and the car seems to be running as good as always (hope I don't jinx myself by saying this!)
Thanks for anyone who may know about this.
PS My other frustration is when I bought the car they put the wrong manual (A4) in the car and can get no real info since there is such a difference in cars, and I don't see why I should pay $50 for something that wasn't my mistake.

Re: Check Engine Light
Your car is fine the check engine light that went off was an issue that went away. You however need to find someone with a vag-com as this is stored in memory and get it scanned to see what the issue was!

Re: Check Engine Light
Thank you for the prompt reply!
I will do that. Like I said, in two weeks I will be having the 65thousand mile checkup and am going for the good one (flushes etc.) and will ask them to look it up. I recently had my catalytic converter changed (under warranty!) and previous to that, of course the engine light had turned on for O2 sensors.
Just glad to know whatever it was went away!
I love my car and have been good about oil changes and proper checks at the mileages required. This is the first time I fall behind due to work!
