Hi there, i'm new, but i've been doing LOTS of reading - and pls correct me if i'm wrong - i'm hoping i'm not - but i may be. Does this page not indicate that there is a chip for the 2002+ a6 with 4.2? and more importantly that it will yield up to 52 hp?

And if not, what are the differences in the S 4.2 and the regular 4.2? where is that 40hp comming from?

Call APR I talked to them a few times they should be a great source

 

but it just seems that 52 hp out of a chip (for a NA engine) is a bit much? no?

 

it all depends. If they take the 4.2 and "de-tune" say 30 hp, really the chip is only adding 22hp...

thats my only guess. im not familiar with the 4.2.
