Guys,

Anyone knows where will the fuel filter be for the 2002 A6 3.0L ?? I think mine is saying goodbye to life. somtimes Especially after I fill Gas the car start to cutoff for few seconds then comes back normal. I thought it might be the plugs but I just got the last changed.

Any idea would be appreciated.

Your C5 A6 Fuel Filter is tucked underneath the chassis in front of the passenger side rear wheel. It should be clearly visible and has two banjo fittings for the fuel hose connections.

 

Thanks a lot man, I got it change but what I had was not the filter. I changed the plugs and cleaned the injectors and my beast was flying back again.

Changing the filter is something you can do yourself and is advisable after a few years. The fuel filter is exactly that, it filters. So over time it does become a restriction causing the pump to overwork. A preventative measure is to change the filter saving the pump.

 

Anyone know if this is a similar location on a 1998 A4 2.8L Quattro?
Been trying to find an answer without any luck...
