2005 A6 4.2 Purchase Advice Request

Hi Everyone,
I am considering a 2005 A6 purchase with 170K of recorded history. New tires and brakes on all 4 corners. Mint inside and out. 4.2L V8 w/ 6 speed auto. Everything works. No accidents. I would be the third owner. Won't be a daily driver (that could change) but something to have fun with. Any suggestions on price and what to watch for? -> Audi Newbie here<- Right now I'm targeting around $15K cert and e-tested. Thanks in advance.

If you can get it for 15k then I think that is a very good deal. I think you are looking at the cheapest on on Autotrader correct?

I'm looking to sell mine, an 05 A6 with the 4.2 and 145k on the clock but I will be holding out for closer to 17-18 as per the average on Autotrader. If you want to ask any questions about the A6 or possibly consider mine please let me know. My car has an Ipod/Iphone interface and I have separate winter rims/tires.
