manufacturers use the Delivery charge for national ad campaigns. that way, they can go on national tv and say "the A4 Premium is $45,000" but then they can charge different 'delivery' in Ontario, Newfoundland, Alberta, etc. Trying to negotiate the extra charges is a waste of time, just negotiate the bottom line.

I just got an 09 A4 Avant.

MSRP 51850

Freight, PDI, Dealer Admin Fee, Air Tax = 2235

Discount = 4623 + free audi care + first payment free

Total discount was about 12% off list price.

That included $1500 from Audi to the dealer, it seems that has now gone up to $2750 so some good deals to be had in January.
