VAG COM 908.1 expert?
Hello all, I just recently purchased an Audi A4 2010.
I figured that VAG-Com 908.1 cable is the interface I need.
Being a total n00b at this, I'd like to ask:
First, where can I download the needed software for free onto my laptop?
I see that I can download it from Ross Tech, but it seems like I need a license?
Secondly, say I got the software working.
How can I program the following?
- Control the windows from remote
- Keep LED lights on when signaling
- Turn off seatbelt/lights-on warning sound
- Make the gauge look cooler when starting the engine.
I live in Mississauga Ontario btw. If anyone here sell that cable or provide such service, let me know!
Thanks!

They have put a lot of time and money into developing a quality product, and deserve support. Cheap ebay cables, well you get what you pay for.
I wouldn't want to brick a module or two on a new B8 for the sake of trying to save a couple hundred $.
That said, I have a Ross-tech cable, and have enabled remote windows in a number of VWs and audis, but have not had my mitts on a B8 yet (latest was a 2010 eos).
More than happy to "go through your modules" and see what can be activated or changed, but you would have to make the drive to Cambridge where I live.
The remote windows+sunroof up/down is quite useful in many situations.
- Turn off seatbelt/lights-on warning sound
You can turn off the "lights-on" sound? I thought you could only disable the seatbelt sound. Where's the code in vag-com to disable the lights on sound? Thats an annoying on, especially if you're using Auto lights.
