Remote Car starter for 2010 A4
Unless it's part of a special package they would never be standard in a car.
I think I read in an old thread here that an oilpan heater is a better option (or maybe only option) for the A4 in terms of engine warming.

Sorry to bring this post up again, but where would be the best (and safest) place in calgary to have a remote starter installed? I have an 06 A4, btw.
Also, Glenmore Audi had advised me that as long as you use synthetic oil, you dont need a block heater. Can somebody confirm this for me?
Thanks.

A block heater is used to prolong the life of your very expensive engine, and is always a good idea. My vehicles are all plugged in when temperatures go below zero. I installed an oil pan heater on my Audi A4 2.0L to ensure that warm oil gets to the cam bearings for every cold start. Starting a cold soaked engine is just encouraging unnecessary wear.
