No oil reading on MMI????
Normally I can view the oil level on the MMI, even when the car is on (obviously not accurate, but whatever). The last couple of days, all I've been getting is the message that information about the oil is not available. Wondering if it's because of the cold weather and not enough time to warm up? My drive to work is 15-20 min or so (usually 15) so may not be long enough at 90 degrees???
I thought the same thing to ... Dealer told me it could be the weather its to cold.. Or the ground its not level.. What they asked me to do was make sure your on the right level then just radio start your car(engine is off) then wait for a bit leave it on oil view then the oil level should come on
To check the top liter of oil. The vehicle needs to be at operating temperature the vehicle needs to be parked on a level surface, shut the vehicle off for 2 minutes. Read oil level on MMI.
I recently had to add 1 litre of oil to my Q5. It displayed that message for 2 or 3 minutes (with the engine off) but eventually revealed the oil level. Full to the top, as expected. Be patient and out-wait it ...

I ignore the dashboard when I want to know about my oil, as it usually gives no reading.
Instead, I look at my dipstick.
The Tiguan dipstick fits fine and costs $20 over the internet.
