A few questions. The dealer has recommended the following and have a special on it.


3M Stoneguard
PPS Paint Sealant
Interior Protection
Tire/Rim Warranty (5 years)
$999 + tax.

I am thinking of getting the Tire/Rim and 3M but not the rest. Thoughts?

Sounds like an up sell to me, they wouldn't sell it if they didn't make a ton of dough.
You can probably get the 3M done cheaper privately, and... really what are the odds of f'ing up a tire anyhow... even if you do, it will probably be less that $999 to fix.

One advice: Save your money and have the 3M done aftermarket it would be as good with a warranty. Dealers make HUGE GP% on those and are done with independent trustworthy professionnals just like the tint, shampoo/comound charging 300%

If you think that the dealer is actually doing those things like tint and 3M you are wrong. They get them done at a third party shop. So find out where they get them done and go there yourself. All of this does not void any warranty.

 

I should also mention that if you are the type of individual who doesn't care and / or doesn't have the time then have the dealer do it for you.

I had my windows tinted at Krownlakeshore, a sponsor of this site, who by the way does tinting for AUDI and other brands. If you want to see the tint on my car search this forum for Krownlakeshore tint. They did a great job!!!
