I am about to replace my Summer Tires on my 2009 A4 - I belive the size is 245/40/18

I did some research but I would like to get an opinion from Audi owners. I don't really care much about performance. I rather want comfort and quiet ride with long thread life

Here's the options:

Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus - pretty new tires - no much review
Pirelli P-Zero Nero All Season
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus

Continental Extreme DWS - Well reviewed but I had bad experience with Continental tires before with my 2004 A4 - bubbles

Goodyear GT - I think 2013 model is now equipped with these tires?

 

Always been a Michelin fan in the past (expensive but my experience has been they last a long time), however this time round I got a great deal on the Pirelli P-Zero All Season and have been very happy with them in the 5 months I've had them.

Everyone's opinion on their favourite tyre seems to vary - noise/wear rate/comfort is just too subjective; I think the best thing is to decide how much you are prepared to spend, and then find a brand you are comfortable with that fits in the price range. All companies have had good and bad tires over the years but most are still in business. e.g. Michelin was the F1 tyre supplier for a few years and now I think it is Pirelli; did that mean Michelin was bad; probably not - more likely that Pirelli was more prepared to pay/spend the marketing dollars.

I have the Continental Extreme DWS, they have been good for me. Also good in snow. My dealer puts them on a lot of Audi's. Good luck!

 

My wife's A4 had 18" P7 Cinturato and she loved them. Good handling and low road noise.
