Hi everybody,

I was thinking about installing the new 2010 A4 S-line rims (19" RS4 twin 7-spoke) on my A4, but im not sure if i should just buy all 4 set of wheels and tires OEM from my dealer or find some aftermarket. I heard the aftermarket ones might not fit and I think 19" is too big for comfort, 17" - 18" is ideal.

any advice or suggestion is appreciated.

 

Hey dude, that's the question... My sline avant came with those 7 dualspoke 19" wheels... Then I promply got a winter set of vmr 708's gunmetal... they are basically copies of the stocks.. Look awesome IMHO and I'm sure a lot cheaper than the OEMs... Plus not sure if stocks come gunmetal or anything other than silver... I was considering getting a set of BBS CH wheels for summer but $$$... and VMR has that wheel too... money talks... I say shop around...
I wish VMR had 19" VB3 wheels for a b8 hub.. Matte black... [shivers]

btw, do you happen to know the bolt pattern and offset for our car?

 

5x112, 66.56mm hub size. Offset depends on the size of the wheel you current have.

 

great thanks! now where can i find myself some RS4 styled rims with those kind of specs? (5x112 and 66.6mm hub)? i been looking online everywhere.

 

im guessing a wheel's offset is not that relevant and what does it matter if the B8's hub size is 66.6mm vs the standard hub sizes?

 

I went with VMRs because they make them specifically for a b8... You know the bolt/hub/offset are going to be right...
Had them for about a month now, no issues...
PS too big of a hub hole on the wheel will not center it on the hub, too small won't fit... Offset is more important if the space get tight, ie wider tires ... Inside might rub if too neg... Too far out and you run the risk of crunching fenders if the suspension compresses on a bump...

 

ya i see they only have the twin 7 spoke in gunmetal colour in 66.6mm spec. i want the original hyper silver ones. but i dont think they have it in the B8 spec.

are you selling your S-line rims?

 

There's no way only have 708s in gunmetal... hypersilver is what you're looking for...check out their home page, not just a dealer's... and sorry, I'm not parting with the stockers... as soon as the dunlops wear out I'm gonna throw a set of KDWs at them..
