2009 A4 - Is this sound normal?

This may be a dumb question. I just got a new 2009 A4. Now, I know that on cold start-ups the engine revs higher for a minute before the rpms come down to about 800. But is it normal for the engine to be sounding weird (like its running without oil or something) during that initial minute?

No. Its a 2.0T

it should be noisier than the 3.2. that's how they are. this year's engine is actually way better that way than last year's. i say don't sweat it. if it's eating you, take it to the dealer.
