Is the $2000 navigation system worth it?

Is the $2000 navigation system worth it?
I am about to place an order for a 2012 A4 Avant Premium Plus S-Line, and I have a few questions.
Also, the S-line comes with the dual suede and leather seats - how does the combo stand the test of time and use? seems that suede is pretty fragile.
Thanks.
- I dont ever get lost or need a GPS, is the navigation system worth it?
- Is the $1000 Bang and Olafson sound system worth it? How is the base system?

Navigation on a B8 is very expensive, given good Garmins or TomToms can be bought for around $300. What you won't beat is the factory integration and that's something that can not be easily retrofitted afterwards, especially on the B8 models.
Check in the S4 forums on the alcantara (suede) longevity. That option has been available on the S4's for quite a while now.
My recommendation is put all the options on. It hurts intially when you are pricing it all, but down the road you will not be regretting having any of the extras, as one typically isn't thinking about the initial cost of the vehicle after that 1st year and all the fun you've had driving it.

Audi used to charge around $5000 for a B&O system on the A8 I believe. Makes $1000 look like a steal.
The NAV is nice because it's $2000 but I don't think it's groundbreaking. If you're trying to save a few bucks, it's a natural place to look. Personally I'd try your best to get it. Negotiate harder maybe...it'll cover part of the cost.
Who are you dealing with on the car?

I have decided to get the B & O, but I am really
hesitating on the nav. Its nice with pretty colours and
all, but $2000 seems a bit much for sometning
i cant see using that much, especially the GPS
if you mean dealers, the one i am dealing
with Lauzon in Laval. Probaly one of the largest

Emailed them for information : never got a response
Called and left a message with salesperson : never got a call back
Actually finally talked to a salesperson : unfriendly and could not be bothered to answer certain questions in French
Set up an appointment to test-drive an A4 Tiptronic. Took time off work, showed up just to be told that the car had been borrowed by a salesperson.
Lauzon: BEST SERVICE EVER
The sad part is that this is not the first time I try to purchase a car from Prestige. I had a A4 (2004-200 and I initially tried to purchase it at Prestige, but I got the same kind of shaft job, and ended up at Lauzon in Laval. I work right next to Prestige so going to Laval is somewhat of a pain.

I've never been to Lauzon.
Just get a quote from Lauzon and have Prestige do better, then take that and have Lauzon match it
Maybe you can get that Navigation system free

Bah, I already ordered the sucker. Apparently, to be delived by mid-December, somewhat doubtful about that. I just can't wait to unload my RX350 and get back into an Audi. After test-driving a fully equiped S-Line Avant with Tiptronic, I feel like I am driving a bus.
