Transmission problems!!!!!
Hi i am a newbie here,
In need of your assistance, well I am a proud owner of a 2005.5 2.0 Audi a4 recently I would hear a whistle noise n morning startup n also when I would accelerate. Once temperature is warmed up noise would go away. Today this morning at startup noise was a bit louder than usual placed in drive started rolling felt very shaky n sputtered then jumped out of gear and acted if it was at neutral. Stopped placed in park n tried again in drive rolled and had a big jerked. Warmed up n seemed fine I can't get on the accelerator hard or it slips. All gears shift in correctly it's more like it slips n doesn't engage properly. What could this be? Please help?

Re: Transmission problems!!!!!
The whistle noise at startup may be your secondary air injection pump as it operates for a short period of time and then stops once your vehicle has reached a certain operating temperature. In order to check your pump, you must remove it entirely from your vehicle and test it with a 12V power source. Or you can start up your car first thing in them morning and listen for it, although with the rest of the engine noise of the 2.0T you may not be able to determine whether it's really the pump or not.
You may have an issue with the TCM as far as your gears slipping. I would have someone run a diagnostic on your car with a Vag-Com. Is your check engine light on? 130,000km is barely broken in on these cars. I have 280,000km on my A6 with all original drivetrain.
