Default B7 A4 Brake question

I am wondering if I have to change the rotors every time I replace the brake pads, like right now I have a brake warning for the brake pads and I am going to replace it but when I touched the rotors, I found them smooth and not that thin, do you guys recommend changing the rotors any way, they are not cheep, but I don’t mind replacing them if it’s recommended. or may be the question should after how many KM rotors must be replaced, thanks

another question, what is the best repair manual I should have and here to buy it, thanks

errr did u buy the car from the dealership?

i wouldnt recommend changing the rotors if it isnt bad at all. eithre u got pretty shiit brake pads or they were placed wrong, or they didnt really change them for you.

how many miles/km you got on the car? usually good quality brake pads last long.

do u have a OBDII?

the rotors are not that bad but i think they have to be machined which i will do even if I replaced them may be I can keep them for nest pad replacment, I have 100,000 km on the car and the pads look pretty thin, so i think I will have to replace the pads, what is OBII any way did u mean the CPO?

As long as your rotors are not, scored, warped or too thin, you don't need to replace rotors with pads. However, most Audi dealers (cough** Queensway Audi **cough), will tell you that you have to replace the rotors with the pads on every brake job. In my opinion it's unnecessary.

That's my 2 cents.
