Went to my local tire guy and here's the prices I got. Lemme know what you guys think:

Rims: R107A 16" replica alloy rims from Fastwheels --- $135/each

Tires and Rims combined price:

• Gislaved NordFrost 5 --- $1490.87, taxes in, including install
• Toyo Garret KX --- $1594.93, taxes in, including install

From Mark's Motors Ottawa Audi:

• Michelin Alpine 3 + four 16" alloy OEM rims --- $1740.40

I'm leaning towards the Toyos, but not 100% sold. As well, I'm just wondering if the rims make that big of a difference (replica vs OEM).

Thoughts?

That's steep man... I got a set of 18" R8 replicas from OEWheels in florida for 720 CDN shipped and duty, then ordered Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 from ebay for just over 1000 CDN.

If you're looking for 16's or 17's, you're likely able to find a much better deal out there. My advice is don't get anything but Michelin or Bridgestone winters. Everything else is quite cheap, but you get what you pay for.

 

I work in the tire industry and I would definitely recomend the Toyo's....you do get what you pay for and the Toyo's are awesome.

 

Someone just posted a set of 16" with Michelin Primacy's for $750 - wish that was a month ago before I bought rims and tires separately. I could have saved a couple of hundred....

the prices are fair and average.. compared to the dealership its the same.

only reason why they charge u more is because they are alloy rims. i got 17inch from Agincourt dealership for 1400 flat.

ask teh dealership for winter package special. (gotthis last year) and they are a beauty. Pherreli tiress DD
