Default Tips for mounting and installing HIDs

Hi everyone,

Just want some ideas from people that have installed HIDs on their A4s. I have a 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro and I'm looking at purchasing these HIDs from ebay..... I'm pretty sure the bulb sizes are H7... I want to get the 8000K ones...

Sorry I can't seem to post an URLs because I don't have enough posts since I'm new to this forum.....Here's the item number on ebay : 230499284993

How do you guys recommend installing them and where ?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated....

Thanks in advance

PS: The problem is that the bulb covers are very tight and I do not want to drill holes in the cover to run the wires....

If your headlights are not made for HID's (without projectors). I wouldn't recommend this, you are gonna get some serious hate on the roads. The HID light is just too intense without projectors and you will end up blinding the people in front of you and the people going in the opposite direction.

Chances are the low beam on your car is a projector... check the specs... Depending on the wirring you might be forced to drill a hole in the headlight cover. Ask the seller what kind of wirring he provides.

The wiring provided connects the headlight wires to the ballast and then there is 1 wire that connects to the bulb.

How do I find out the specs....The manual is for the avant...Is there somewhere online I can check the specs for my car ? or by using the VIN number ??

Thanks

It seams that your headlights are Projector beam lens with halogen bulbs...
If the whiring is not using the existing harnesses/connectors you will have to drill a hole in the housing. In case you didn't buy the kit yet ask the seller...

Thanks...I checked and the low beam has a projector beam lens....I am waiting to see my friend's kit cause he ordered it from the same place....

The only thing is that they are 35w instead of 55w....I have 55w on my bike and they are amazing.
