Hey guys,
This is probably a silly question, but I noticed the 6-speed Auto Transmission gear box feels warm to the touch while driving it for awhile. From inside, when I put my had on the shifter/gear box. Not sure if it's always been like that. It might have always been that way and I just never noticed. I've had the car for almost a year now.

It's a 2007 A4 S-Line 2.0T, 6-speed auto.

No check engine light. Temp gauge is normal; in the center.
Car seems to be running and shifting fine.

Is this normal? Has anyone else noticed the same and am I just being paranoid?

I also noticed the same thing a couple of days ago. I also got scared a bit but then I realised I didn't really touch the transmission before to realize how hot or cool it is (the plastic part).

My bet is that it's quite normal..
