replacing halogen lights with HID
Yes I still have the issue only when I turn the lights on right away. I never have the issue if I turn the lights on when the car is running at 2000rpm-3000rpm
I think it is just the MTEC kit that is the problem itself. It just requires too much voltage to get going where as your DDM kit must require just a little bit less.
Where did you buy your DDM kit?

This is what I believe is the problem is...
Everytime you start the car up a certain amount of voltage is required to get everything going. With standard Halogen lights they require the same amount of power all the time. You turn them on and its a steady draw. However with HID lighting it is different. They require much more voltage to 'ignite' but when they are ignited and warmed up their voltage is actually lower than standard halogen lights.
So when you start the car and flip on the HIDs right away this is too much of a voltage requirement and the computer thinks something is wrong and we get error issues. Next time you start the car DON'T turn on the headlights right away. Wait until you are moving and you have the car at 2000rpm to 3000rpm. The cars alternator (stator?) will create more useable electricity which the HIDs can ignite without any problems.
This is how I always turn on my HIDs and I NEVER get errors.

I dont know the explanation but on Audizine this problem would come up from time to time and relocating them was the solution for most.
However that might not solve your problem. There is another way, its in the link below about mid way through the post
turning on HID'd causes ESP, ABS and brake light to come on??? help plz

Just ordered a 50W H7 kit from VVME and would like to find out the best possible way to mount them into my brand new Helix (2 piece) E-code headlight assembly. Could someone direct me to a step by step (pictured) link? Thanks and happy motoring!
EDIT: My apologies for the hijack!

So I decided to go with VVME instead and got mine shipped to me for only $5 for a grand total of less than $60 for the kit!
