Hello all, this is my first post so be kind. I was planning on buying a 09 A4 but due to financial changes of late, I would be wiser to look for one a little older. Can anyone suggest a year that would be wise to consider. I thank you for any advise you are willing to share.

 

I've for a 2007 A4 2.0 T and besides the regular maintenance i had 3 warranty recalls and brake pads i swapped out because of the squealing of the factory ones in cold weather.

 

I would try to get one that still has some warranty (factory or certified) left, and that would mean the oldest you could go is 2006-07. More important than a warranty is buying car that has been properly maintained - try to find a seller with full services records. These cars will run for a very long time if properly cared for.
