My A4 2.0T is really loud
Hi everyone!
I bought my first audi 3 days ago. Its a 2006 A4 2.0 T Quarto and it sounds like a diesel motor. Its not but that is what it sounds like.
I know a few people in the car industry, mechanics at BMW, Honda, GM, VW and one friend who used to be the general sales manager at Audi Uptown.
Some of them say the car should not be this loud and some others say it should because its a turbo. Even the sales man at Uptown audi said it should sound like this.
I was looking at the front wheel drive model at downtown Audi and it was also this loud but the sales guy said it should be quiet. It was also a turbo so I'm very confused.
Did I buy a lemon? The A3 I test drove didn't sound like this either and its the same engine. This sound is driving me nuts. Does your A4 turbo sound like this?

Ok I will get a clip today and post it up some how. I need my boyfriend for that stuff.
He is a car guy, well big stupid hillbilly truck guy. His dodge 3500 is a diesel and although my car is not even close to being as loud at his truck it does have the same sound on a lower scale. The sound is also coming from the top passenger side of the engine as well.
I will get this clip to you asap. Thank you
