Funny Cruise control
Yesterday my cruise control would not engage for the first time. (2006 A4 2.0T CVT) I was on a 100 K (60 Mile) trip. After I got home I went out again and it did work. This morning when I headed to drop friends off at airport it did not work. When stopped at light I restarted the car and it did work. I thought I saw the pattern. Then when leaving airport it did not work. I pulled over and restarted - but it didn't do the trick. I have several stops today and I tried it each time but it wouldn't work.
Anyone else out there with a similar problem and how did you solve it? And why would it be intermittent?
Thanks for any help
Phil

is your car cetrified?
did you try calling the dealer?
Do you get a msg on the screen?
I recall i had intermittent incidents but for different sensors. Once when it was raining, I got a msg on the screen saying that my gas cap was open. I stopped and checked the cap and it was closed properly. I tried restarting the car and I still had the same msg. After a few hours I started the car and the msg was gone. Never happened to me since. But it was weird.
I think it could be the rain. water contact....mayb!
Anyhow, do you know if the button for the the cruise control is engaging properly.
Could it be a wiring problem?
let us know what happens or if your problem is already fixed.
