Engine tick
Hoping someone can offer some insight on an issue I'm having with my 2008 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro.
The car is making a ticking noise between 2,000-2,500 rpm under acceleration, particularly if you are driving up a steep hill at highway speed and it kicks down, or if you get stopped at the bottom of a hill in traffic.
I don't hear it if I am passing another car on the highway, but I sometimes hear it at low speeds in town as I accelerate away from a traffic light, for instance.
The car has 73,000 km on it and is regularly serviced by Audi. I always let it warm up well and this problem seems to happen even if the car is warm.
Any thoughts? I'm a bit anxious as the warranty is up soon!

Might be the high pressure fuel pump wich is driven by the cam shaft. Have it looked over by a good specialist, if you wait to long damages will cost a lot more to fix (fuel pump, cam follower and even the cam itself might be damaged)
