Default B7 A4 headlight adjustment

Hi guys,

I just got my '07 A4 2 weeks ago and went on a night drive for the first time. It doesn't have HIDs and the lights are pointing into the ground. It's fine for city driving, but on the country roads I was over driving my low beams once I passed 50kph. Highbeams didn't seem too bad, but I can't drive down the 401 or 115 with my highbeams on...

Was just wondering if there is an easy way to adjust this or if I should just get the dealer to adjust it (hopefully for free as I just picked it up). On the top mount of my headlamps I see a lowbeam icon stamped in that says 1,0%. Not sure if that means anything but thought it was worth noting.

Thanks for the help.

there should be two white ***** or screws on the top of your headlights. One is for up and down, one is for left and right.

Yeah tried to find them... I noticed one that has a hex and philips head. I assume that's one of them. Didn't notice the rest, although I think they have rubber plugs in them? The one closes to the outer edge I assume then is left and right, and the one closer to the center is height?

Does it adjust in clicks or something? Or just line this thing up and start turning the screw slowly?

Yes. I did this a few weeks ago. Pull out the little rubber plugs (i had to use a thin flathead to pry it out) after that i just threw them out. Use a philips head and turn left and right to go up and down. Do it against a wall so you can see the levels and make sure they match up. There are specs online somewhere as to what level they should be at.

One headlight was dipped a little too low so they looked uneven, so i adjusted them both. Make sure you don't move them too high or else you'll blind other drivers and you'll get hi-beam flashed a lot.

Do you have a pic with the location of the screws? I could only find the one for up/down - a white torx located in the center of the headlamp...I can't seem to find the other one for lft/right...I have HIDs. Thx

You need adaptation with VAG-COM + adjusting the angles with the plastic screws manually
